Stitches & Random Pictures This Week

CHEETOS... who doesn't love them. Fortunately she only eats about 5-7 of them and is done.

CUPCAKE... this bib she's been wearing daily because she's a goofball, puts it on herself. This look is 'Momma your disturbing my "Babies" movie.'

Daddy... is outside feeding chickens, and she's not allowed out because it's too cold. This picture just makes me want to clean my coat room... but what is the point! Just the mere thought is exhausting!

PRETTY ME... she did not want to go to daycare this day, but when I asked her if she wanted to wear this dress from Grandma or Joanne she changed her mind. Yes she a girly-girl for the most part.

ANIMAL LOVE... The thing she loves to do most is to lay on Gromit, it seems that Sesame does too! She tends to think he needs to hold all her toys too, most ofen you see him in a sea of her dolls, balls, and whatever she's carting around in her shopping cart or stroller. She loves to give them all hugs and kisses!
Dearest Daddy* believes that Lulu feels bad for Gromit having no balls and donated a few. Doesn't he just look so annoyed to have to lay amoung her toys? I bet he wishes he didn't have arthritis! Poor guy! On the brighter side, she feels very safe around him, today she went to my room where he was because I pulled out the vacuum cleaner... neither of them like the vacuum. They huddled together waiting for the noise to stop.

MEGA BLOCKS BOX... her favorite thing to play in. She made me put all the blocks back into the box around her too.

Lulu is growing so fast... teeth, hair, personality getting stronger. Using words, but not stringing them together yet. She's a fisty little jumping bean.

STITCHES... Fell on my face Monday, Jan 10, 2011. My face and knee took the fall. Baby is ok. Having contractions on and off since the Tuesday after the fall, but nothing related. Matter of fact baby's heart rate never changed when I went to the hospital for stitches and xrays... so either I was relaxed, or baby boy is MELLO! Let's just pray it's the latter of the two.

What A Ham!

Say Cheese!
A word she says that helps us get those pretty whites in our photos! She didn't want to get dressed until she saw this cute outfit... my fashionista.

Odd Ball

Playing piano... notice the bib that she refused to take off, and the size 8 shoes she wanted to wear, everyday she picks her own shoes despite my suggestions. Oh well, she's funny and I just can't complain as long as she wants to wear shoes.

Light Shopper
With her new shopping cart she likes to push the baby around, and she keeps a plastic pear in the back but NOTHING else is permitted. I try all the time to put more stuff in there including her Little Doggy.

On the Ball
She was refusing to sit on the yellow ball... then I shoved it behind my red chair and the kitty went back there. Anything to be close to Sesame! Note: she's saying "Cheese" for me. LOL!

Christmas Week

New Truck

This is the Ford F350 Diesel Power Stroke Crew Cab. Now to sell the F150 and the Winnebago.

Minneapolis Christmas

Lulu has warmed up to Uncle Bob & Uncle John during Christmas in Minneapolis. She actually went to sit on Bob's lap a couple times, and played with John. They pulled out the traditional Santa Hat to hand out presents from under the tree... Lulu thought it was more fun to cover her face and run into everything. She also mastered opening gifts quite quickly.

Where's My Hand?

After vomiting 2/3rds of the way through the security line at the airport, and on the airplane. Later landing in Colorado and having a high fever... then after a Tylenol nights sleep she developed a Staph infection which came to light the following morning. The next day we spent in the clinic, and the day after that... by Wednesday she was feeling good enough to make up this disappearing hand game. It only lasted a few hours but by Christmas Eve she was feeling fine and her infection was clearing up.

My "Trunkie" Sunny

Lulu's new airport approved carry on, we used it to carry her toys. It's a ride-on suit case.

At Auntie Nina's

A "Big Sister" gift at the baby shower for her brother. She loved being with her cousins.

Colorado Christmas
After a rough morning with at least 2 time outs for hitting Mommy, Lulu opened the "Little Puppy" then decided that she wanted to color. When she heard me pushing the Little Puppy (with its little bark) she made a bee-line for the pup and took it back to her coloring spot. Later she opened a few other gifts... it seemed to go on all day until about 3pm.

Budding Artist

Lulu's First Ceramic Masterpiece It was about 2 months in the making when she started this trivet. We started when Hailey was baby sitting one night, and then last week while I was working on some pottery she wanted to paint some more. She climbs up in the chair and grabs a paint brush. By the end of this session I showed her how to paint her hand and slap some colors on the ceramic, she really loved that too. I pulled this out of the kiln this morning, I think it's wonderful! Now of course everytime we feed the furnace (wood in basement) she points to the studio and tries to make a break for a table with a chair and brushes. I am glad she likes the arts.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree... how pokey are your branches.

We picked out a tree that is blocking sun from the garden, and that was a little pokey to avoid little hands touching everything. This is the first Christmas that we had a real tree since having Lulu, and she helped with some of the ornaments.
Then she spent the night from 8 pm - 2pm vomiting. Glad the night ended, seemed to be bad food.

Enjoying Life

Up Past Bed Time... I was updating my website last night after Lulu's bed time, and after about 40 minutes I heard "momma out now" repeatedly and so sweetly. So I went into her room where she was standing in her bed with her bear in hand... no dirty diaper, so we went to snuggle on the couch with some milk... and as you can see the "kitty"! She just thought that the cat sleeping with her was the bomb!

Doggie Tolerance...
I don't know how we could have a better dog that one that let's his little pal crawl all over him, just knowing how much pain he must have with arthritis and the 2 hind leg TPLO surgeries. We watch them closely to make sure she isn't on his knees. Oh the kisses and hugs the guys get from Lulu is enough to make me jealous! However, she does give great hugs these days!
Found... POCKETS!
After going through her closet and drawers I pulled all the 24 month sizes, and found that she has some slim pickings for 2T. Being WINTER in Minnesota I went to buy some sweats & sweat shirts for those days when stretch pants and sweaters aren't enough! I ended up shopping in the boys clothes but came out with some nice plain turtle necks, a pair of sweats, a fleece and this zipper hoodie. She found the pockets and just stood around watching her TV program with her hands in her pockets.

IKEA Rocks!
We went to IKEA on Black Friday! EEK, the traffic was horrid but it was all worth it for this table for Lulu. It's the same model I had when I had the pottery store, but I had sold those. Anyhow, it's light weight and most days she not only colors at the table but she likes to take her meals there! It's perfect!

Says Daddy

New Clothes Rock!

I asked her to sit so I could get a picture, she said "okay" but wouldn't smile for me. She is getting ready to try and button her sweater, and she didn't want to put on her coat (which she normally loves to put on), I think she must have notice the patterns didn't coordinate!
Making Daddy's Hands Play the Piano

Lulu was playing the piano and turning the pages of the music and pointing to the notes, then Daddy sat down to play with her which she didn't like as much as grabbing his fingers and making him play.

Hiding Under Covers & Pillows

A daily ritual of climbing on the couch getting under blankets and behind pillows. Not to be mistaken for a game of peek-a-boo... she just loves it.

Tearing the Fake Grapes from the Decorations

Bought my first ever Thanksgiving swag to put out. I didn't spend much money because I didn't know what would happen with them. For weeks she just rearranged the gords, pine cones and pumpkins... then the wrecking started.

Feeding Time for all the Animals

Lulu has been refusing her highchair for months now, but she like her baby dolls and stuffed animals to enjoy a comfy place to chow.

Found the Heating Duct a Source of Great Entertainment

She also started saying "Daddy" so I got her to say it at the end. After awhile of this I cut her off... just too messy to tollerate. I had her sweep it up with a kid broom after that. She enjoyed sweeping the piles (not great mind you) and then pushing them over the vent too. Now the hay bale is off limits (dang except I let her sit on it today). I have to learn to pick my battles!

Under the Chase

It Was a Phase!
For the week she kept putting her shirt over her head, and everytime I tried to put it back she got angry... so I decided not to pick the battle.

What's Under Here?

Bears, hats, balls, kitty.
